The World, Ants and Social Disparities

Little sister loves stories. She lives on them. She always goes on running her mouth about stories on almost everything and nothing. Its tiring, really. Narration isn’t her strongest suit but the glint in her eyes that highly contrasts with the dark rims around them while doing the same during ungodly hours made it hard to ask her to shut up. Viewing things through her eyes is no easy task. She has an eye for details and finds the oddest of things interesting.

The other day she voiced her thoughts on ants. It turns out she cannot bring herself to kill ants despite the itchiness and discomfort that comes with them because ants, just like her, love sweets. And this commonness that they shared barred her from harming them.

One simple take away of mine from this analogy of hers was this, as impossible as it may seem, imagine a world in which people connected over the oddest and simplest of the frequencies that they shared, it could prove to be the only counter action we need against all forms of radicalization around the globe.
